GumptionFest Part Deux - Saturday, June 2nd

GumptionFest Artistic Support Foundation (GASF), is a grassroots organization that started as a way for local artists, performers and businesses to get up the gumption to get together, celebrate and share what they love doing; creating. It is most importantly an effort to help artists come together and support each other by way of inspiration, ideas, tools and much more. It helps create what we call an "artistic support system." Therefore, we want to raise the bar for Sedona's intake and output of creative expression and diverse understanding.

The first GumptionFest on June 10, 2006, was a great success in many ways. It brought more than 1,000 spectators to five venues and showcased more than 100 artists, performers and youth. It increased sales at surrounding and participating businesses and had a lasting impression on the community. Almost a year later, people are still talking about GumptionFest.

GASF consists of friends and partners working together cooperatively. It relies on the help of many to contribute the things we need to operate effectively. As the foundation grows it plans to become a more integral part of the local arts scene by creating more events and opportunities for the artists connected through GumptionFest.

GumptionBalls are small events at local venues to provide more exposure of the arts. These include regional acts and artists.

GASF works with organizations to help with benefit concerts and events.

GASF is working on establishing a home for events and artists connected to us - a venue that residents and tourists can appreciate and visit everyday.

The foundation is not limited to these groups and welcomes all.

Through genuine friendships, care for our community and building creative relationships with local schools, businesses and residents, GASF strives to support the myriad ofopportunities that Sedona offers through the arts. GumptionFest Artistic Support Foundation is a non profit organization with 501(c3) status pending.
